Factory Workshop Noise Compliance Testing
Conducted noise assessment in an automotive parts factory workshop using the ET-958 sound level meter, identified high-noise workstations, and developed noise reduction measures to ensure employee occupational health compliance.

Project Background
The factory workshop contains multiple large stamping machines and welding stations. Employees are exposed to high noise levels for extended periods, with some stations exceeding 85dB(A). A noise assessment is required to comply with occupational health regulations.
Facing Challenges
- Large workshop area with complex noise source distribution
- High noise fluctuations during stamping equipment operation
- Continuously monitor the 8-hour equivalent sound level.
- Employee cooperation with noise reduction initiatives needs improvement.
Solutions
Use the ET-958 sound level meter to perform 1-level precision noise measurements at each workstation. Record the 2-hour equivalent continuous sound level, analyze the frequency spectrum to identify major noise sources, and install soundproof enclosures and sound-absorbing materials accordingly. Prioritize workstations exceeding 85dB(A) and provide employees with protective earmuffs.
